Barely 10 days after I arrived to Colorado and started settling into Boulder, I got the opportunity to travel again. This was not just any travel. It was travel to France. And not just any place in France. I was invited to stay in Julia Child's summer cottage! Maybe you already know this about me: I have been cooking basically since I was in the womb. Call it a natural born love language. :)
The trip also happened to coincide with my 35th birthday, and I was asked to do a personal branding photoshoot in the South of France. Needless to say, there was not an ounce of "no" in me. I booked my ticket and less than two weeks later, I was enroute to Europe. It was the first time in my life I had done anything like this. And, while I have driven tens of thousands of miles on my own through the United States, this would be my first time traveling internationally alone.
I have some beautiful iPhone shots to share of the French Countryside and Italy, but Natalie stole the show most of the time. I'll let the images do the rest of the talking.
I give you: Natalie, in France
"After twenty years of desperately trying to diet myself thin, I broke free from that bullshit, started celebrating my curves, and gave myself permission to love food again.
As an Eating Psychology Coach, I learned that a big part of healing my relationship with my body and food is living a life that fills me up.
So I subleased my apartment in Los Angeles to embark on the digital nomad lifestyle. Shortly after, I was living and working at a cooking school in the South of France run out of Julia Child’s former summer home.
Beyond my wildest dreams!
As was I flying away from the clean eating capital of the world in California, I found myself feeling more permission to eat than I had in my life. I decided it would be a travesty if I didn’t capture my enjoyed time there, so when I had a week off and an extra bed to share in the guest house, I invited Melanie to join me and we had a glorious day visiting all my favorite places and capturing the magic of life at La Peetch."
